World-Renowned Expertise in Wind Engineering
With over 30 years of experience in wind engineering, Roy Denoon has collaborated with planners, architects, artists, and engineers worldwide to develop elegant and practical solutions for wind engineering challenges. From guiding the performances in ceremonies at the 2000 Sydney Olympics to wind tunnel testing many of the world’s iconic buildings, Roy brings a wealth of experience to the industry. He has led the development of new technologies in the field and served on code committees to facilitate the broader adoption of the latest knowledge.
Roy's contributions to the field were recognized by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat in the award of a Fellowship and he currently serves as the chair of their Engineering Assembly. He is a voting member of the ASCE 7 Main Committee and Wind Loading Subcommittee and was a primary author of their Manual of Practice on the Design and Performance of Tall Buildings for Wind and the Prestandard for Performance-Based Wind Design.
